Back Home (For Now)
After six or so hours in the truck yesterday, I made it to Walnut Creek, CA for a rehearsal with my buddy D-Lucca. We’re doing some sort of gig on 8/14 in his town and I had completely forgotten about the rehearsal until he called me half way from LA. Good thing I had to pass by Walnut Creek coming from I-5 to San Francisco! (Oops!) At any rate, I was pretty wiped out from a few days down in LA and all that driving, but we had a good rehearsal.
The ever nagging question: do I bother putting away the gear or do I just keep it out for the next trip this Saturday?
In any case, I’m back through Saturday morning before heading out on the road again for another six shows up and down the California coast. Hoping to get some sleep here, catch up on some house chores and, ahem… bills (gulp). Anyway, I’ve got some new material since having left for Los Angeles and a bunch of fresh ideas, too, so I need to find some time to get those on paper/on tape before heading out. Oh yeah, and there’s this video camera, too, that I need to figure out. Oh, and I suppose I need to keep booking and promoting and rehearsing and… whew! It’s going to stay pretty busy for a while, me thinks… Okay, enough for now… see you guys out there!
