Other Info | I am so thrilled to be returning to Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge in Tahoe City, California to celebrate Earth Day 2018! From 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Sunday, April 22nd, 2018, join me, the folks at Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge, Klean Kanteen, Alpenglow Sports, and Keep Tahoe Blue for a fun afternoon into evening, going "staw-less" [see detail below]. I'll be playing a solo acoustic set featuring my favorite material from my first three albums, select songs from my upcoming 2018 release, produced by Grammy Award winner, Richie Biggs, and some even newer songs penned back in Nashville, Tennessee and on the road. For those folks that might need to hear something a little more familiar from time to time, I'll also have a number of carefully selected cover tunes at the ready to round out the afternoon into evening. Sunnyside boasts one of the best views of Lake Tahoe, serves up amazing food, drinks, unparalleled service, and a cozy, mountain vibe. It's the perfect spot to wind down your weekend, so mark your calendars now, rally the troops, and c'mon over for some live, acoustic music, tasty grub, and mouth-watering libations on Earth Day! For additional details and directions, click on over to www.sunnysidetahoe.com or call the venue directly at (530) 583-7200. [FREE / ALL AGES] Chi McClean proudly plays Taylor Guitars, Deering Banjos & Elixir Strings. ADDITIONAL EVENT DETAILS: No plastic straws allowed! Instead, Klean Kanteen will give away their reusable stainless steel straws at this event in a focused effort to keep Tahoe straw-less. Plastic straws litter our mountains, streams, and oceans, so this Earth Day, come on down to Sunnyside and celebrate going straw-less with music, food, and drink. Over 500 million straws are used each day in the United States. That’s enough straws to wrap around the Earth 2.5 times every day. These commonplace tools are used for a few minutes then tossed aside, joining the surfeit of plastic waste created each day. Cities across the country including Seattle, Davis, and Miami Beach are banning or limiting the use of plastic straws. Giving up this small luxury can make a world of difference. Straws are one of the top 10 sources of marine debris causing beach litter and damage to marine life. It is estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Let’s make sure that is never true of Lake Tahoe! |
