Other Info | I have been participating in the Bread & Roses (www.breadandroses.org) performance program for some time now, and each time I travel to a new venue and play for patients, it brings something really special to my day. Bread & Roses is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the goal of "providing free, live, quality shows to people who live in institutions or are otherwise isolated from society" with the idea that music and human interaction will uplift and invigorate the human spirit. I've seen it happen in person during my performances as part of this organization's effort at substance abuse rehabilitation programs, mental institutions, convalescent homes, facilities for the elderly, etc. and it is truly an amazing thing to experience. On Tuesday, February 7th from 11:00am until noon, I will be performing at the California Pacific Medical Center (Davies Campus physical rehabilitation facility) for a variety of long term patients. It's going to be a terrific time and I'm really looking forward to sharing the gift of music with these folks. Unfortunately, it is a private show for these patients and their medical staff; so, if you are interested in seeing one of my performances soon, please stay tuned to my calendar of gigs on my Shows Page at www.chimcclean.com/shows for an upcoming performance near you. And, if you are musician in the great California area, be sure to check out www.breadandroses.org and see if you might be interested in helping with a live performance sometime. As rewarding as it is for the audience/patients, I guarantee that it will be at least ten times more so for you, the performer. |
